The USAF's Automated Weather Distribution System (AWDS) is ALL
Unix-based (SunOS/Solaris). I know, I worked on it. AWDS is deployed
across this country and around the world, one of the largest UNIX-based
installations for the U.S. government. I'm not sure where in the USAF
you were stationed, but the Weather Service is where you would find
        UNIX for sure.
