Scan that machine with a portscanner, try connecting to one of the high ports if there is one. for example: you have the server setup with ftp http and squid and you scanthe host and find ports like 21, 80, 3128 then it is ok. but if you find something on 6000 or 6660 or whateva try connecting to tis port with telnet or ssh. if you have a rootshell, your server is cracked!
>>> identity file /root/.ssh/identity type 0 >>>debug1: unknown identity file /root/.ssh/id_rsa >>>debug1: identity file /root/.ssh/id_rsa type -1 >>>debug1: unknown identity file /root/.ssh/id_dsa >>>debug1: identity file /root/.ssh/id_dsa type -1 sounds like somebody deleted the files to disable root to enter.... I woul'd say it ist cracked... possible??
