If you have RH8 installed, you already have Galeon. If you want to UPGRADE Gnome2 to the latest, best bet is to use RedCarpet from Ximian; at least IMHO - worked for me (not that I use Gnome 2.2.0 anymore - was severly lacking in what I expected). If you're trying to compile it from scratch, and getting dependency problems, what are the probs yer getting?
