If the BIOS can't see the drives either, then it's a hardware problem; you
will need to contact the manufacturer. If the BIOS at least recognized the
drives, you could try booting with 'ide=nodma single' and rerun hdparm,
but if the BIOS can't see the drives, then obviously Linux won't either.
