Hi, I'm a newbie to Linux but not partitioning. The partitioning software that
comes with Linux will allow you to 'join' those two partitions, but only on a
permanent basis. You would delete both, and redefine them as one. While this
will NOT destroy the data in the last two, it may cause problems with other
operating systems because it will cause a disk drive re-mapping. The other
systems (if they exist) will lose track of the registered programs because the
drive letter will change. If you have nothing but user files, word doc,
spreadsheets, CAD designs, that stuff will be just fine and stay right where
they are (just on new drive letters), if you're not using any other operating
system then just make sure that your mount point change (because Linux will
know about the drive remapping) and you will have successfully 'joined' the two
partitions..... Hope this helps....
