Same thing here: any glibc 2.0.7 (I tried the two different ones that came
in the update directory) caused pam errors (which breaks everything,
including login).
I would get "Unknown Linux-PAM error" messages. Reverting to glibc 2.0.6
fixed the problem.
I did submit the problem to the redhat pam mailing list (before realizing
that it was linked to the glibc version), but got no solution from there.
