Okay, I've just moved a number of web pages from one of our servers to a new machine. Now, suddenly no CGI scripts will start; the message in the log takes the form: [Wed Apr 8 16:42:52 1998] access to <filename>.cgi failed for <hostname>, reason: couldn't spawn child process This seems to occur for every CGI script...I believe they've been working up until now. Does anyone know what could be causing this? The apache config files are the same on the two machines. (Oh, the old machine was running Redhat 4.2, Apache 1.2.0; the new machine is RH 5.0, Apache 1.2.5). ____________________________________________________________________________ I.
