Listen in my daylight time I am unfortunayte enough to have to use ksh
on AIX and IMHO it is to bash what CDE is to Gnome/KDE: it stinks.
Prhaps you remember CDE, that thing who was supposed the standard Unix
desktop.
You see there was a time when your use for Linux was as training
ground for "real" Unix , because your job would be on Unix not Linux,
thus we danced at their music.
Now it is the opposite: it is to the guys who run proprietary Unixes
to learn Linux and learn it fast if they don't want to lose their jobs
when their boss decides to replace their proprietary box by a Linux
one or when its manufacturer begins "Linuxifying" its system.
In other words: when standard Linux programs are superior to the
Posix/Unix standard then to hell with POSIX and UNIX. It is now to
them to adopt _our_ standards.
