Have you verified "/usr/bin/vacation" exists? It also looks like its
exiting with a "1" status (meaning an error, but not one of the errors
"sendmail" expects (which should come from "sysexits.h"). Have you tried
to run it manually? Does it exit ($?) with a non-zero status? Have you
tried to run it debug or verbose to see what it says? Have you tried
pumping it through "strace" to see what system calls fail?
I have the full RedHat 7.0 distribution and I certainly don't see a
"/usr/bin/vacation" (nor do I find it anywhere else) so I suspect that's
your problem.
