Surely the packages would have compiled with gcc 2.95 and glibc 2.1.
I've seen RHI talking about glibc 2.2, but what I see is 2.1.92; presumambly
this is a prerelease of glibc 2.2.
I much prefer software approved by its authors for my production system; if I
want to try some betaware, then that should be MY choice, not Red Hat's.
Calling "Red Hat Linux 7.0" suitable for general use when it contains software
not considered production quality by its authors seems a bit sus to me.
