Mine shows most visibly against vertical lines; I can't see it right now
(screen's attached to a card where it works), but closer inspection shows it's
not JUST at the vertical line.

I got the impression that some pixels are being illuminated at the wrong
moment on one pass of the electron gun.

I recall seeing them as white; I need to see them again to see if there are
other colours.

On one machine I sometimes have a few artifacts left on-screen, typically the
top dot-row from some characters. I HAVE seen that kind of problem with a
S3Virge card, on OS/2 and NT; on those systems I blame the drivers.

It's only a minor irritation; I CAN get round it by inserting some spare video
cards I have (made redundant by on-board video in once case, and purchase of a
card with more RAM in another).

Maybe we need to play with xvidtune on our respective machines.
