Aw, too bad. Complain to somebody who cares, or fix it yourself. I
was _trying_ to help you, but you don't want help, you want to whine.
Odds are, the people who wrote the gcc documentation, or binutils, or
whatever are not reading this list. I'm not going to waste my free
time converting all the documentation into your format of choice, but
I was trying to offer ways that you can access existing documentation
more easily, and perhaps in a manner better suited to your
preferences. If you don't want that, I'll just go away and scorefile
this to oblivion.

Right, you're starting up with X. It assumes that if you're using X,
you are capable of using menus. Do you complain that other X
applications don't have a big dialog flashing saying "IF YOU WANT
HELP, USE THE HELP MENU!"
(And if you start under a terminal and it doesn't mention C-h i,
remember that you _are_ using an old version, and I don't remember
when that message was added.)

Fine. Go stand in your corner and whine about the format of the
info. Just go whine about it to someone who might fix it... like the
various package maintainers. Or fix it yourself.
I suspect you care more about laying blame than actually _helping_
those new users you're talking about.
