Speaking of RPMs I was wondering how people go about
creating RPMs for complicated packages such as the
kernel, or mysql or something that installs a load of
files. I am pretty new to making RPMs and therefore
find myself shying away from bigger packages and only
creating RPMs for simple packages that I can easily
find out what files it installs. Is there any method
by which to figure out what files are going to be
installed without actually installing a given package
from a tarball? Sense I am trying to rely on RPMs I am
getting tarballs of the applications I want and
attempting to package an RPM. But this is not easy to
do for bigger packages. Any tips would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks,
Frank
