As a heavy exmh user and contributor, I think I should add my $.02 here.

exmh has a clunky interface in many ways, but it's functionality is far 
superior to anything else that I've stumbled over.

Of course, I also don't find KDE exciting (I'm a windowmaker user).  How can
something as slow as KDE be "exciting"?  ...unless you're referring to the 
excitement provided by the bugs.
