Removing old programs can be painful too. I was really annoyed to find
nenscript replaced with enscript. There IS a difference, and the
difference in favour of nenscript is important to me.
So I had to dig out an rpm of nenscript and install that; in doing so, I
removed enscript.
Any incompatible upgrades are going to annoy and waste time of a lot of
users.
Consider what happened when the Coca Cola Company upgraded its
best-selling beverage, and learn from that company's experience.
