  Regardless of what First Aid recommends, I know virgin olive oil is good for
burns and I will continue to use it, try it. Don

    Oil only coats it and prevents it from cooling faster..... according to
first aid, Oil is a bad idea.

      Old home remedies used to tell you to use some kind of oil on a burn, but
first aid says to first run it under cold water to cool the area..... applying
ice would be too cool too fast, but not a bad idea.

        An ice cube works. I'd think olive oil would make it worse. A friend of
mine told me to rub baking soada,don't mix it with water. I have tried it and
it works as long as you apply it immediately. A friend of hers told her about
it when she burned herself from her baby's bottle, back when they were heted on
the stove.

          I apply virgin olive oil to a burn, oil should be applied frequently;
pain diminishes and no blister, Don

            Prevent a blister from a burn

            Have you burned yourself? An ice cube applied to the burn will stop
it from blistering.
