Mashed Tater candy
This comes from back when they started to make powdered sugar. The story that I heard was a lady had some mashed taters left and was going to through them out and spilled some powdered sugar and picked it up and put it in the bowl with the taters and her boy mixed them and started to eat then and put some peanut butter on it . What was left got hard and he liked it. So came the tater candy. I do not know if this is true or not. But it sounds good.P.S. I got one that is better than this. I think (no taters) 1/2 Cup mashed white potatoes 1/2 Cup creamy peanut butter 1 pound powdered sugar sift sugar and mix with warm potatoes. Put some powdered sugar on your cutting board and roll to a oblong shape about 1/4 in thick cover with peanut butter and roll up tight then wrap in saran wrap and chill.unwrap and slice about 3/8 in thick sift with a little powdered sugar " In the darkness, there is wonders of light that cannot be seen with the human eye " -Sugar --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Access the Recipes And More list archives at: http://www.mail-archive.com/recipesandmore%40googlegroups.com/ Visit the group home page at: http://groups.google.com/group/RecipesAndMore -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
