Tea Cakes

1 1/2 cups of sugar

1 cup of vegetable shortening

2 large eggs; room temp.

2 teaspoons of baking powder

1 tablespoon of vanilla extract

2 tablespoons of whipping cream

3 1/2 cups of all purpose flour

Preheat your oven to 325degrees. Put the sugar and vegetable

shortening in a large mixing bowl. Blend together with a

electric mixer until light, fluffy, and creamy. Add each egg

one at a time; while mixing. Add in the baking powder, vanilla

extract, cream, and flour. Mix well. Roll the dough out into

one inch balls. When you put them on a non-stick cookie sheet

pan, flatten each dough ball with a spatula or your fingers.

Bake for 10 minutes or until they are golden brown.

**Be sure to leave about an inch space in between cookies so

they have room to spread. THIS IS A RECIPE THAT I TRIED FROM A

RECIPE SECTION OF A MAGAZINE. Hope you like it...
