There is another advantage to being able to monitor w/o batteries initially. It allows data to be collected on how the facility uses energy which is much better in my opinion for sizing than an inventory and and hours assumed load study.

because the owner does not have the money now to install batteries

Why would you not use a battery?  I get it that this has the grid, but, why?

Maybe this is something you all know, but I did not.  I put in a SolArk system w/o batteries for now. I spent so much time trying to understand why the DAS did not record import/export of power. The generations data exactly mimicked the utility data but in reverse, even at night, which led me on a wild goose chase.

I have been told that because the CTs are dc powered, they cannot do this.......... And I am the first person so passionate about this.

I told them that this issue was not in the manual, that the CTs would not provide load data w/o batteries, and they agreed.

I want to ask if anyone can tell me that this is how other inverters similar to SolArk work?  I spent such a large amount of time that appears unnecessary with a better manual.

Thank you, Chris
