Dave, I agree with Jerry that they might not make it til spring. If I remember right, they are fairly easy to change. I have a customer with over 8000 hours on his Ecogen 6. I still have many customers still running the 6 but With Multiple brush replacements. His secret of longevity was to change the oil weekly as his recirculating system never worked right.

It’s been in service for over 12 years and it has 3,200 hours on it. I see that I missed the recommended500 hour service for changing the alternator rotor brushes. My question is how critical is it that the brushes are changed soon? Would we be risking any damage to the generator by waiting until spring, about another u250 hrs? > >> >> Dave Palumbo >> Hyde Park, VT >> 802-371-8678 text >> _______________________________________________ >> List sponsored by Redwood Alliance >> >> Pay optional member dues here: http://re-wrenches.org >> >> List Address: RE-wrenches@lists.re-wrenches.org >> >> Change listserver email address & settings: >> http://lists.re-wrenches.org/options.cgi/re-wrenches-re-wrenches.org >> >> There are two list archives for searching.
