Dave:
With all due respect, I don’t see this as an issue. All of our building wire is rated at 600 volts. If you segregate your OPCD, work neatly and bundle your various lead groupings I think it is perfectly safe. If one is real paranoid, you could rivet in some partitions or more simply, sleeve the 600 VDC leads in NMLT. I looked all through the documentation for the cabinets and no voltage rating is given. We cannot assume the rating is a limitation until we find one. Let us all know if you are privy to this detail. I would not hesitate to integrate the 600 volt rated Conext branded charge controllers into Conext branded BOS cabinets as long as the workmanship is good. Do you want that in a PDP with your 48Vdc and 120/240vac? I do not believe it to be UL listed for 600vdc in there, and so you are breaking some pretty big rules here. I do not post much anymore here. Keep 600vdc out of the PDP and for Offgrid we always want high reliability. Just now I laid a 600 VDC rated touch-safe fuse holder over a QOU breaker. The fuse holder is smaller than the breaker so it would fit in the PDP. The fuse holder would be a bit recessed which may look awkward and impede the opening of the fuse holder. I do know you can buy DIN rail of varying height. Maybe you could drill out the rivets on the DIN rail and replace a short section of it with high profile DIN Rail and make a somewhat elegant solution??? Good luck. Curious that Schneider doesn't have higher voltage input breakers. Most analysts agree that rising prices — not just in the US, but also across the world — are largely consequences of the Covid-19 crisis rather than policy errors by governments or central banks. Infectious waves have closed factories in Asian manufacturing hubs and caused chaos in transporting products to US markets, creating a spike in demand. Also Americans have cash to burn after two years of canceled vacations, closed restaurants and working from home, a major factor supercharging the price surge. *t...@solar-biz.com <t...@solar-biz.com>* *MAIN TOLL FREE:* *888-826-0939* *DIRECT: 888-503-6772* *International:* *001-575-539-2111* *PANAMA:* *507-836-5588 X 122* *FAX: 520-844-8442* *www.thesolarbiz.com <http://www.thesolarbiz.com/>* CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE: This electronic mail message and any attached files contain information intended for the exclusive use of the individual or entity to whom it is addressed and may contain information that is proprietary, privileged, confidential and/or exempt from disclosure under applicable law.
