I have been inside the eVault cabinet and there are exposed terminals starting about 1/3 of the way up the unit. Not a very water resistant enclosure, with a loose fitting cowling.
The 250A breaker is only accessible by taking out 6 screws and removing the top compartment cover. Good news is their tech support is excellent.
