Considering slot/board alignment, ribbon cable, sensor and poor
visibility when attempting either a board change or fan swap on a VFX
Flex Power 3 or 4, if you're doing it on one of the FX's in the middle,
leaving on the wall may not work out so well. Might be time to pull it off.
Jerry, so is the nylon wire tie idea to allow the casting
to push in the ribbon cable a little as the case slides past it without
catching on it?
And I think it was Ray about replacing boards when the fan
dies. I've had fans die in 5-6 years and boards last 15+ years though
it does depend on how old everything is and the condition of those pesky
relay covers. Both boards are a lot more money than just the fan if the
situation doesn't qualify for yanking boards.
