The constant pressure pump types often do not need a big expansion tank. I
did a test on Grundfos and counted cycles with the small pressure tank and
the large. The large tank cut cycles by 1/3. They really are not cycles
like a pressure switch system because of variable speeds.

I have even used a pressure switch on a constant pressure variable speed
pump to reduce cycles at night for an offgrid restaurant. It does work.

Big tanks save big bucks. If you have one, use it!
