I have seen this with the dimmer below 50% with well/transfer pumps. I only use the costco FEIT bulbs/CREE and no issues on XW and CSW. Avoid dimmers or use less than 30% of dimming. I don't think the bulb being dimmable is the issue either. It is more apparent at night when you dim an LED. Tell them not to do laundry at night Good Luck

When it is in wash cycle, the LED lights flicker rhythmically with its operation. We can see a corresponding distortion of the wave form on an oscilloscope, but RMS voltage is steady at 117 vac. It does not cause trouble with incandescent lighting, and the washer works fine. My questions: 1) Has anyone else seen washing machines causing trouble with lighting or other loads? 2) Is there any line filtering available that might cure this? 3) Are some LED lights more prone to issues? We are considering having the customer switch from the Home Depot cheapo LEDs to Phillips or other higher end bulbs. 4) Could it be related to the bulbs being dimmable? Should we be using non-dimmable bulbs? As always thanks in advance for your invaluable input and comments. -- Ray Walters Remote Solar 303 505-8760 _______________________________________________ List sponsored by Redwood Alliance List Address: RE-wrenches@lists.re-wrenches.org [5] Change listserver email address & settings: http://lists.re-wrenches.org/options.cgi/re-wrenches-re-wrenches.org [6] List-Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/re-wrenches@lists.re-wrenches.org/maillist.html [7] List rules & etiquette: www.re-wrenches.org/etiquette.htm [8] Check out or update participant bios: www.members.re-wrenches.org [9] -- Links: ------ [1] http://members.sti.net/offgridsolar/ [2] mailto:offgridso...@sti.net [3] https://www.ascopower.com/us/en/products/transfer-switches.jsp [4] mailto:r...@solarray.com [5] mailto:RE-wrenches@lists.re-wrenches.org [6] http://lists.re-wrenches.org/options.cgi/re-wrenches-re-wrenches.org [7] http://www.mail-archive.com/re-wrenches@lists.re-wrenches.org/maillist.html [8] http://www.re-wrenches.org/etiquette.htm [9] http://www.members.re-wrenches.org
