Is all the polishing done on the outside of the display?  You'd think the folks 
at SMA could have used glass.  I've had my local glass guy cut me special sized 
UV/automotive glass that I then secure to the inside of the indentation around 
the display window with 3M 2-sided outdoor-rated tape, costs ~$12.  Those have 
only been out there for about 5 years, I'll report back in another 5 years .

            I also just started using a UV rated window 'film'  which is 
similar to the that little strip of plastic you peel off the display of an 
SBX.0-40 after installation.....maybe we should leave that factory plastic 
strip on!?

            Occasionally , we go nuts and build a very well vented cabinet 
around it.  In the pic, that lower board hinges down over display
