My bad – they are Chamberlain openers, if it still matters.

I put a couple of a.c. powered garage door openers in my garage a couple of years ago. They both had an onboard 12v battery as backup that allowed a few operations when the grid was down. I used them for a couple of months that way before I got power run out from the house. I charged them with a small Morningstar CC and about a 20W module. I bet they could easily do what you are looking for, and be ready if AC ever makes it to them. I am pretty sure they are made by Genie, and my model is not made anymore, but they have a current equivalent. Hi all, any recommendations where to find 12 or 24v garage door openers. Can’t remember this coming up on the list beforehand. It is just for a single car garage door. Don’t want to use an inverter, usually better to go direct to a dc motor. Once I have a suitable opener, I can design the rest of the system around it. Thanks for any/all input. &nb sp; John Veix, GoSolar Ltd, N.Z.
