The STP (Sunny Tri Power) will be here shortly. The first unit is in the States and being fired up tomm.
Unfortunately, due to NEC and UL, the ESS will not be used in the US. Which is a mystery, as it is superior to what the NEC requires. It will have a standard type disconnect on the bottom, as well as an A/C disco. I don't understand why, they are fantastic units. The units have up to 6 string inputs, string monitoring, built in electronic safety switches, really neat equipment. We need to pressure SMA to make them available States-side. However, they are limited to 6kW, which is only mid sized in todays world. I'm constantly having to design 7-12k systems in residential applications all the time. Any other dual channel inverts of the market for 240VAC? I remember back a few years ago that sharp had a 3-channel inverter. Doesn't look like it is still around. thanks, Troy Harvey --------------------- Principal Engineer Heliocentric 801-453-9434<tel:801-453-9434> tahar...@heliocentric.org<mailto:tahar...@heliocentric.org> _______________________________________________ List sponsored by Home Power magazine List Address: RE-wrenches@lists.re-wrenches.org<mailto:RE-wrenches@lists.re-wrenches.org> Change email address & settings: http://lists.re-wrenches.org/options.cgi/re-wrenches-re-wrenches.org List-Archive: http://lists.re-wrenches.org/pipermail/re-wrenches-re-wrenches.org List rules & etiquette: www.re-wrenches.org/etiquette.htm<http://www.re-wrenches.org/etiquette.htm> Check out participant bios: www.members.re-wrenches.org<http://www.members.re-wrenches.org> -- Chris Mason President, Comet Systems Ltd www.cometenergysystems.com<http://www.cometenergysystems.com> Cell: 264.235.5670 Skype: netconcepts
