Carl,

We designed and built a custom solar power system for an alarm company about
4 years ago. They were installing the system on an un-occupied warehouse
that had no electricity. The two things we had to address was make sure we
had correct voltage/current battery charging arrangement as we did not want
to convert to 120 VAC which adds cost, losses, and complexity. The client's
other concern was absolutely positively no low power shutdown during
multiple days of bad weather, so we really oversized the array and battery.
