Allan:

I lowered the acceptance window to 80VAC. My recording Fluke 87 showed no voltage sag even during the brief time the inverter tried to connect.

We have done two XW systems, one off-grid with a generator. The generator is a 1970's-era Onan 12.5JC, a lovely beast of a workhorse with 18,000 hours on it. The point of describing it is that this is about as basic an analog control as is available. AC output voltage on the unit was around 114 VAC, slightly low. Frequency was right on. The XW would not latch to it, although the minimum AC2 in acceptable voltage was at the default setting, I believe 108V AC. Reducing the minimum AC2 in to round 100V cured the problem and it charged.

From the number of responses to William's post, there may be a serious incompatibility issue with the XW's genstart/charging firmware, that shows up in different ways as different problems. I'd like to hear from Schneider about this.
