Thanks Mick and Ray. William, I would equate the overall situation with OutBack gen autostart as if I was leaving a teenager in charge of some important function. Sometimes they do exactly what I ask of them, but often they don't. I believe it is a software issue, as re-setting seems to undo the problem and it works fine again, but I find myself back at one or the other job again within a year or so. I want something simple and relatively foolproof. A simple, voltage controlled switch (such as we had for so long with the SW's) worked wonderfully. That is what I am looking for. My experiences, and they have been many, have not built confidence in OutBack's auto start capabilities. I have tried to convince the owner that manual start is all they will need, to no avail.
