In Minnesota the State building code will allow a general contractor to satisfy the structural engineering requirement on residential structures. The commercial structures require a PE, This seems to be the same for Keith's situation. Darryl Btw some installers seem to want a PE on there roofs. But from my experience in one case the PE specified over $100,000 worth of work, and another said no work was required. I find the variability of recommendations from PE to be widely varying.
