It is great to hear that Wrenches are having better luck with
trackers. This recent thread, on the subject, is way different that
what has been stated in the past. It sounds like trackers might
really be a cost effective approach to net metering. Is it really
more cost effective than adding more modules, as we had figured in the past?

I'll second Jay's remarks. We had a 4 tracker system from Y2K, that
while troublesome, fully demo'd Wattsun's committment to customer
service. A year ago we installed 1 of the new and improved design,
and it has been flawless. Be sure to get the manual switch for
making tracking adjustments and so it can be set flat for
windstorms--just for hurricane insurance here in the east.
We continue to spec them for those sites with good E to W solar
window. With time of use net metering, they really make sense---so
long as the durability holds up!

Hi Carl,
On average its around a 15% winter and 40% summer increase in KWH.
That of course depends on how good your sun window is.
These numbers are pretty well published so you should be able to
find them for your area.
Reliability is pretty good, with great customer service if there is
a problem.

Hello Wrencjhes,
Happy Easter. May the Bunny bring you lots of goodies in your basket.
Two questions on the Wattsun AZ-225
1) What is the experience with reliability of these units
2) Any real world data for comparison of increased production from the
tracker versus a fixed ground mount at optimum tilt for the latitude.
Thanks
