Henry is 12. He'll turn 13 in May. He loves camping out, but neither he
nor his sister ride as much as I did at their age. We live on a steep
hill, too steep for them to be able to ride to school. As soon as Henry
gets to the point where he wants to ride to school, and can lobby his mom
into allowing it, then he's going to go BEASTMODE on the bike. It's been
my parenting attitude to let him drive how much he rides, but maybe it's
time for me to encourage him a little bit more. Like "If you were riding
to and from school a few days a week, that ride to flat-top would be a lot
easier".

We're talking about a 3.5 mile ride, with about 700ft of climbing total,
with a couple pitches approaching 15%, so no joke by any adult measure.
