Patricia, my wife, really likes the Alba bars on the tandem so I am wanting to convert her '83 Sequoia to Albatros bars. I bought the bars, stem, Shimano brake levers and Paul's thumbies from RBW, and a set of Microshift BEs from LBS for Christmas. Tried putting it all together today and immediately ran into two questions.
First, where do people put the shift levers for the best ergonomic action? Parallel and just in front of the brake levers feels best in the shop but we don't have the opportunity to road test. Second, the Microshifters come with a one piece bolt and seal, but the bolt is not long enough to reach the Thumbies. The bolt supplied by Pauls is long enough but lacks a seal. I'm probably headed to a hardware store but would welcome hearing about others experience. Blessings, Michael Our ice storm has been followed with a snow storm - very hard on trees & electric lines. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
