The Tektro RX6 is not the mini(est)-V model.  The Tektro 926AL is their
mini-V model and has 84mm reach.  I just got some 926's for $13 per axle
for the tandem.  Nice shiny silver. Haven't installed yet though.

If rack clearance is a worry, maybe the extra 6mm will do someone some good.
