Hi Garth, I recently bought a pair of these size Medium. Here's what I measure:
> > -First, I'm seeking the *true waist* measurement. Lye flat the shorts, > measure across the waistband outside to outside, x 2 . Inches. > 31" (15.5 x2) > -Second, the complete rise. From the top of the waist, down the middle > seam to the gusset, call this *Front Rise*. Then do the same for the *Back > Rise*. Then measure *across the gusset* through the virtual middle line. > These 3 measurements and I'll get a *Total Rise*. > 10.5+11+6.5= 28" > -Third, The *outseam*. Just like it sounds, from the top of the side > waist, down the seam to the bottom hem. > 17.5" > -Fourth, The *leg opening*. Lye flat, across the bottom hem . x 2. > 12.5 x 2 = 25" Hope it helps. I've only ridden in these once, but they were just fine. Didn't notice them at all, which is a good thing.
