One more remark on the difference between the two: The FFs make the ponderous Fargo seem like a different bike -- far more "lively", and I routinely ride a gear higher without trying to push things. I may in fact re-arrange the cassette.
In view of a recent "how can I make my bike more spritely" thread, to what do you attribute this additional liveliness? Less weight? More suppleness? Less rolling resistance? What was it that made the Fargo "ponderous"?
