Doug - I think you're right about the WTB posts!  Wheels are the first 
priority... might have to settle for some economy ones right off though. 
 The 'treat' was the frame itself in this case!! :)  In the end though I 
think I'll try building up the wheels myself, I did the 650B wheels on my 
Trek over the winter 'under supervision' from a mechanic buddy.  I think 
I'd be ok doing it again and having him check my work, definitely not as 
fast and (I'm sure) amazing as a Rich-built set but I like getting my hands 
dirty!

Matt - Thanks, I'm going to wait and talk to Riv this week and begin 
sourcing some components in the meantime... I volunteer at a local Bike 
Co-Op so I may be able to get some starter wheels hooked up for very little.

Great ride this morning by the way, amazingly crisp temperatures in the DC 
area!
