Nice to know, Hugh. If you happen to be down from Sunland with your bike,
let me know. I am pretty easy to ride with. I have a family with all
girls and one small boy dog (Louie). None of them ride except Louie (sits
in his bed in the Wald basket and comfortably stays leashed to the basket).
My training/exercise rides are usually 15 - 20 miles at an average 12 mph
(Del Mar Heights is steep hill country). If I go longer for a day ride, I
like to have some goal in mind like riding to a campground or park
destination, cooking some lunch, and reading a book for a while.

Having a Samuel Hillborne is changing things up, though. I take a lot more
short sprints through the neighborhood and up to Del Mar Highlands to shop
in street clothes and even flip flops. Ralphs and CVS let me take Sam in
with me and I use the Wald basket for my shopping cart. It is like being a
kid again. Jump on the bike and go.

Thanks for your reply,

Tom
