That's a great tip if you use grips Rene :) I personally don't use them !  
I tape the bar with cork tape :)  I use thumbshifters mounted in the inside 
top curve, and bar end brake levers, so I have about 12 inches of open bar 
to move around . It's Glorious Freedom !!!  This to me expresses the full 
beauty of the Alba bars .... to allow All-that-open-bar-space to be used 
for the hands. Putting tiny(to me) grips on a huge bar like the Alba is 
like limiting yourself to two grip points on a steering wheel of a car. 
You've got the whole circle, but choose to only grip in two places. Kinda 
silly to me !
