I am a female, 5'6, 84 PBH with an Yves, fist full of seat post showing, 9cm nitto technomic stem. The albatross bars feel a little too close - angled them down and lowered them, so the stem is level with the saddle, which helped.
I thought a longer stem (11 or 12) would be better - but the LBS cautioned it would put more weight on my hands, and longer stems are usually for men, who often have shorter legs and longer torsos. I have long legs for my height, and possibly long arms for my height. Also, my neck gets tense, would a longer stem make that worse? Most of the internet chatter about stem length discuss drop bars, not a-bars. What stem length are other women on the Betty/Yves using - I prefer being somewhat leaned over, not too upright!
