Peter,
I don't tour or carry much, but the ability to use any size tire and the
long chainstays makes the Roadeo just a great bike for me. My friends with
their Carbon creations look at me cross-eyed, but I just really enjoy
riding the bike. Its like my car, a late model Mini Cooper. Its not as fast
as a lot of cars, but there's no car, no matter how expensive, that's more
fun to drive. And, I can put my Roadeo in the back of the car. I had a
conversation with Grant and told him that they came out with a model that
fit a club rider like myself. It was during a visit to the shop in Walnut
Creek. He sold me his unpainted frameset and together, we decided on a
color, "Mary's blue" , his wife's favorite color. Even though I don't carry
any loads on my bike, I and a true believer in Rivendell. Anyway, I am
probably " preaching to the choir".
