To us on the list, these facts are surprising.  But true.  There is another 
guy in town that also owns an Atlantis, & I run into him maybe once a 
year.  The first time I stopped him, I was expecting a degree of 
friendliness based on common ownership of a steel bike in a carbonic 
world.  He didn't seem to think it interesting that 2 guys in the same town 
would have the same niche bike.  When we see each other, he'll chat for a 
moment but then "must be going".  I've mentioned our So Cal Riv group but 
he has no interest.  His bike always has panniers & he told me he has no 
car, so that's his wheels.  But as to any association with other Riv 
owners, he seems baffled by the idea.  And he's probably not alone.
