Ok, so I'm usually fiddling with things...

After converting my Ram to 650b, I had my 36h 700c Dyad/XT wheelset sitting
there.

My Bombadil is a 650b bike, with loads of clearance (previously ran 2.3
Neomotos under fenders).

I am using Paul Motolite v-brakes on this bike, which are extremely
adjustable.

I started wondering....

So I swung by MSL and grabbed a couple of inexpensive cyclocross tires, in
the 700cx33 range.

Mounted the tires on my wheelset, popped the wheels into the frame, and
adjusted the brakepad mounts upwards by 3/4"....

And.... it works, well. Very well.

Kinda weird, running a lighter tire combo on this bike; I'm used to Conti
Tour Rides and NeoMotos on my Synergy/LX wheelset. I also pulled my racks
off for the time-being, hung them up on the wall of the workshop; just
wanted to see how the bike felt w/o the extra weight.

Will run w/ this combo for a few weeks, think on it awhile, before I switch
to the Rumpkins (I've pulled the Tour Rides off of my wheels and mounted
the Rumkins, but haven't tried them yet, since I adjusted the brakes for
700c instead of 650b now...).
