My recollection is that Colin (in Texas?) on the list did it with a Bleriot. But wouldn't one of the purpose-built longbikes (Big Dummy, Radish) be netter for this? I think the cost would be comparable or maybe even lower, with one of the Xtracycle models. Also, the Betty is 650b and the Free Radical conversion kits work only for 26" and 700c, as I recall -- something to do with rear brake installation, I think.
