I have sks longboards mounted to my Sam behind the fork crown with a Sheldon 
nut.  The fender line is nice, and this has the advantge of allowing the fender 
to be adjusted (or removed entirely) just by removing a single bolt and without 
disrupting the brake adjustment.

I don't see any advantage to using a daruma mount: makes it harder to get on 
and off and adjust the height.
