I was riding the Conti Cyclocross Speed in 700x42c on my Quickbeam when it 
was first built, and they were very cushy and felt light for such a wide 
tire.  I eventually mounted something narrower (WTB Slickasaurus, 700x37c) 
so I could mount fenders.
