I agree with you Marc, to each his/her own. A 65 mile ride, especially on a charity ride where I have friends and family along, is absolutely perfect for me. It is enough that I feel like I rode but it isn't enough that I have to take the next day off or anything. I have been hitting the hills pretty hard the last year and I learned to enjoy them more.
