I'm going to throw in a vote for Cygo lights for convenience - Expilion and Hot Shot combo. They're inexpensive, lightweight, and go for hours and hours before needing a charge. They plug into any USB, and a spare battery for the headlight is cheap enough if you want to carry a charged spare. Yes, you see them everywhere - it's for a reason. Wouldn't claim they're the best lighting system for commuting, but a perfect choice for "in case I need a light"
